The rating doesn't really apply to me - I ordered this for our electricians here at the water plant. All I can tell you is that the item came quickly, as promised by Amazon.

Our organization has a career ladder for advancement in the ranks plus a bonus paid when our electrical staff gets their Journeyman or Master Electrician certification, and a bonus again for renewing their certifications. It was for this purpose that I ordered the book.

About the Author
Abe Abdelhadi is from Los Angeles, CA. He played in several rock bands in the late 80s and early 90s and has had his music featured on television and has published several short stories and poems. He worked in various capacities in the music and film businesses before becoming an essayist and author. He is in the process of converting his essay website, “This is the Deal,” into a book containing previously published short stories, poems and new short stories. He also performs standup comedy and currently lives in Austin, TX. After college, he moved to Pasadena, CA where there was a thriving music scene and his band was based. Mayan Tango played the L.A. circuit with abandon. They played with such groups as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Primus. His mixed Arab and Brazilian heritage gives him a unique perspective as he was raised in South L.A. when it was still called South Central Los Angeles. He grew up in a factory region, where General Motors, Firestone and Bethlehem Steel were based. This was a far cry from the stereotypical West Los Angeles/Hollywood, show business image most associate with being “from L.A.” Nevertheless, the arts and the desire to connect have been paramount in his life, culminating into this latest work, “All Together Now.”

Read this novel in one day, which is a first for me. An enlightening perspective on issues beyond our borders and beyond the borders of my comprehension. A must read for everyone! Great job Abe! An inspiration to say the least.

This book is well written, entertaining and insightful. It's a must read and I recommend it highly. I loved the characters and the plot. Mr. Abdelhadi is a very promising author and I can't wait for his next book!!

This is a very good first book

This is a very good first book! Abe Abhelhadi, got into the mind of a 23 year old American musician of mixed heritage. Deep seated and traditional culture does a "tug of war" with modern thinking. A young man is asked to do something highly unusual and he came away with a better understanding of life, family and culture. Sharp insight delivered a riveting story with an ending I was not expecting!

Lana Krumwiede is the author of the middle-grade novel Freakling, the first book in the Psi Chronicles trilogy. Her short stories, articles, and poems have appeared in various publications, including Highlights, High Five, Spider, Babybug, The Friend, and Chicken Soup for the Child’s Soul. About Archon, she says, “The idea for a second book came from a teen who read an early draft of Freakling. When I asked her what she thought of the ending, she said she was worried about Taemon because everyone would be really mad at him. My eyes lit up and I knew that Taemon’s story wasn’t finished.” Lana Krumwiede lives in Richmond, Virginia.

Taemon and Amma set out for the Republik to rescue Taemon's father. They meet an unexpected friend, but must keep a secret from him. Taemon thought that taking away everyones' psi would make his city a better place, but the people haven't changed. And now a new danger looms.

Archon is the second book in the Psi Chronicles. There is a decidedly different feel to this book, maybe since so much of it is away from Deliverance and the journey to the Republik. Yet this is a well-paced adventure with plenty of suspense, intrigue, and drama. Fans of dystopic novels should definitely check these out. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and look forward to the next in this stirring series.
